The Bankstown Sports Group’s Annual Volunteer Appreciation Night saw many old friends catch up and treated to delicious food, drinks and entertainment by musician Gemma Glendenning and caricaturists, The Illustrating Man Designs, to say thank you for their commitment to their sporting clubs throughout the year.
The club’s Sport and Partnership Advisor Matthew Starr said it was great to get together with the volunteers and celebrate their achievements.
“Bankstown Sports was created by volunteers over 60 years ago and it’s no secret that the very fabric of our club are the sporting volunteers who show up, week after week, month after month, to keep our grassroots sports teams running,” he said.
“This event was held to show our heartfelt appreciation for all that they do and acknowledge their unwavering dedication.
“I hope everyone is enjoying a well-deserved festive break now before it all kicks off again in 2024.”
