Club keen for third title win

PLAYERS of all ages and every background are welcome at the Lidcombe Waratah FC, says club vice president Lee Rennie.

Fielding both mens and womens teams as well as girls and boys teams, he says they have players ranging in age from five through to their oldest in their 60s.
“Our teams have players from many different backgrounds and it doesn’t really matter where you come from as long as you are prepared to give it a go on the field,” he said.
“For kids, soccer teaches them not only about being active but also about learning to play together and relying on their teammates to achieve results.”
Lidcombe Waratah Junior Soccer Club (also recognised as Lidcombe Waratah FC) is affiliated with the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association (GDSFA), Football NSW and Football Federation Australia.
“As a club we are committed to develop and promote football/soccer,” Lee said.

“We offer opportunities for all players, irrelevant of their skill and ability levels to enjoy their football in a fun, family friendly environment. Our home ground is Coleman Park which is located between Nottinghill Road and Georges Avenue, Lidcombe.
“As well as senior men and women, we are looking for junior boys and girls to join our U6-7, U15 & 16s, with these teams being grand champions back-to-back for season 2018 and 2019, and we want to make it three championship winners in a row.”
Parents can use the NSW Government’s ‘Active Kids’ $100 voucher to pay the club’s registration fees.
