Seeks donation for cause before overdue haircut
After some close calls in the family, the 25-year-old will be raising funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation and Beyond Blue at the Riverwood club on Friday, March 26, and invites the community to make a small donation ahead of his event, ‘It’s Time To Go Lachlan’ or on the day for when he gets his waist-length hair shaved off at 7pm.
“Without donations, these charities couldn’t do the wonderful work they do,” he said.
“I am shaving my head to show my ongoing support to these exceptional organisations and will also be donating my hair to help cancer sufferers.”
Club Rivers’ community engagement officer Jenny Holt feels her fundraising efforts of three years ago have helped to inspire Lachlan.
“I had long blonde hair and I did the World’s Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation and was able to raise $11,000,” she said.
“Lachlan has a goal of raising $20,000 so he needs a lot of support in the next month to help him reach his goal.
“Every little bit helps and so I would encourage residents to drop into the club and make a small donation.
“We are so proud of him; let’s all get behind him.”
