Christmas Night Market fun for family

A WONDERFUL way to get into the festive spirit and create lasting memories with your family or friends, the Merrylands Christmas Night Market next week will be packed full of decorations, bargain gift stalls, entertainment and delicious hot food and drinks.

The markets will be held in Merrylands Civic Square on Friday, December 15, 5-9pm, and will feature roving characters including unicycling fairies, snow princess, roller-skating Christmas Candy Canes and more.
Holroyd Brass Band will be performing along with Kiss the Frog featuring Antoine, a former member of the ABC’s children’s act, The Hooley Dooleys.
Drummer Paul Mac said the band always enjoyed playing to a crowd and a markets environment was even more fun.
“The band plays music from the 70s to 00s and music filled with harmonies plus genres such as rock, soul, reggae, blues with a little bit of insanity from our exciting band leader Antoine,” he said.
“It’s going to be an awesome night and we hope to see you there.”
With great coffee, snacks, meals and sweets available, Meat to the Heat operator Paul Bounader says he has been told his Lebanese barbecue is the best in Sydney.
“I learnt all about Lebanese cooking as a toddler and usually sell out so make sure you get in early,” he said.
The markets will also feature activity stalls, face painting, henna art, arts and crafts and much more including opportunities to snap a photo with Santa and his elves.
