Choice Preschool Kindergarten focuses on building confidence by providing a wide variety of programs

With a strong focus on academics and the performing arts, public speaking, drama and technology are key features of its program.
As part of National Science week, last Thursday, the young scientists at the centre gave speeches, performed dances and did demonstrations of science experiments for family and friends. They covered topics such as the life cycle of a butterfly, body parts and sustainability. This focus on public performances provides skills for life and as the young scientists were awarded for their efforts, director Karthika Viknarasah said “The research tells us that it is important for children to think of themselves as scientists.
By encouraging this love of learning and understanding new scientific concepts, we can encourage children to study STEM subjects in school and go on to STEM careers.”
Choice Preschool Kindergarten has a focus on leadership and public speaking which has seen many of their students go on to leadership roles in primary school and beyond. “Teaching the next generation of leaders is a role that we take very seriously. We are fortunate to have on site speech therapists and other allied health professionals as part of our team which allows us to support every child to shine.
Our OOSH program allows us to continue the wonderful relationships that we have built with children and families and support them in their primary school years.”
Choice Preschool Kindergarten offers a wide variety of programs for the children including gymnastics, sports, research-based literacy program and more. The children also have opportunities to participate in several performances throughout the year and attend excursions such as a recent “Mini Olympics” at the world class facilities at Wyatt Park Athletics Field.
Choice Preschool Kindergarten also offers free playgroups on Wednesday and Thursday mornings for anyone in the community.
