The former paediatric nurse works with children, their families and teachers in a mental health role, running an early intervention program in the school setting.
“Core Kids has a strong focus on creating a positive early attachment for calm, connected kids, through the programs that we offer,” she said.
“I was shocked and thrilled when they announced Core Kids as the national champion in children’s services but equally as proud that there is a spotlight shining on the importance of teaching children and families the benefits of social-emotional and physical health from a young age.”
Now Nicole is taking her passion a step further, setting up a global first and free event for her inaugural ‘Kids Mindfulness Day’ this Friday, September 16, available online and only taking 10 minutes to view.
“The benefits of yoga and mindfulness for children are well founded and I would like this to be accessible to all children regardless of life’s many challenges and barriers so have created a day and a website with resources to support all,” she said.
