Charity concert to help Ukraine

WITH their country in turmoil as they fight one of the world’s biggest superpowers on their own, Ukraine is in desperate need of support.

Offering a beautiful cultural experience with all funds raised going to help their recovery efforts, Ukrainian, Russian and Australian musicians will take part in a ‘Breathe with Ukraine’ charity concert on Sunday, September 4, from 4pm at the Ukrainian Youth Association (CYM) in Lidcombe.
Performers include Alex Vaghin and Xenia Novosilska, VGmates, Alina Malyk, Nina Kharakoz, Beatrice Robinson, Konstantin and Anna Guller, and Sergey Pashkevich, who will present a range of music from the contemporary to the traditional, with a smattering of popular hits and original songs.
A spokesperson says this live music concert is being presented by people who support Ukraine during these tough times.
“The concert will be split into two parts with a break in between to meet new friends and socialise,” the spokesperson said.
“All ticket sales and donations will be sent to the coordination centre operated by volunteers in Dnipro, a city in eastern Ukraine, southeast of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, on the Dnipro River.”
Tickets: adults – $25, pensioners – $20, children (up to 14 years) – free, displaced people from Ukraine – free.
