Police will allege in court that about 8.15pm on Saturday, September 18, a man entered a service station on Clyde Street, South Granville, armed with a large kitchen knife and demanded money from the employee which he then stole and ran from the store.
About 9.30am on Sunday, September 19, and again on Monday, September 20, about 11.55am, a man armed with a kitchen knife and matching the same description, entered a service station on Blaxcell Street, Granville, and threatened staff before running from the location with an amount of cash.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the robberies.
Cumberland detectives arrested the man at Byrnes Street, South Granville, and charged him with three counts of robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.
Arrest suspect after third armed holdup
LESS than two hours after his third alleged armed robbery in as many days, a 27-year-old man was arrested on a Granville street.
