Charged after fiery crash

A MAN has been charged after a serious crash in Padstow last Sunday night.

The 21-year-old was charged with driving a motor vehicle while disqualified, with police alleging he had driven the Audi but was a passenger when it collided with a Nissan before bursting into flames about 10.45pm.
Police were told the three male occupants of the Audi left the scene before police arrived.
The driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old man, was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
