Last Friday about 1pm police received a report of a truck driving in a dangerous manner, including performing an illegal overtaking manoeuvre, on the Old Northern Road at Glenorie.
Police attempted to locate the truck but it wasn’t until 8am the following day that they attended a trucking company in Revesby, where they arrested a 41-year-old male employee who underwent a drug test that allegedly returned a positive reading. A secondary test also returned a positive reading which will undergo further analysis before any action is taken.
The man was charged with drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and prohibited from driving for 24 hours.
