Charge six in drug ring

A HYDROPONIC cannabis set-up was allegedly located at Guildford when police raided 11 homes as part of an investigation into the supply of methylamphetamine and cultivation of cannabis across Sydney.

Strike Force Caprera has been investigating the supply of methylamphetamine and cultivation of cannabis across Sydney since last September.
During the raids last Wednesday, police allegedly seized more than $105,000 cash and more than 17kg of cannabis, and charged six people.
They also uncovered three hydroponic cannabis set-ups – including one at the home at Guildford – allegedly seizing more than 290 cannabis plants with an estimated potential street value of $1.015 million.
Detectives also seized 17kg of cannabis, MDMA, cocaine, an electronic stun device and more than $105,000 cash.
Four men and two women are facing various charges including knowingly taking part-cultivate commercial quantity prohibited plant, supplying prohibited drug, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
Investigations are continuing.
