Charge man over alleged house invasion with occupant attacked

A MAN has been charged after an alleged home invasion at Georges Hall last week.

Emergency services were called to Sturt Avenue at Georges Hall, just before 4am on Monday, April 1, when it is alleged three men forced entry to a granny flat at the rear of a home and assaulted the 35-year-old male occupant before ransacking the home.
The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Two days later police arrested a 23-year-old man at a home in Georges Hall, and he was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence- inflict ABH, and aggravated enter dwelling in company intent to steal.

A crime scene was established at the home which has been forensically examined by specialist officers and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.
