THOUSANDS of residents took advantage of the hot weather to enjoy the Australia Day activities, including a Twilight Party at Belmore Oval and pool parties at Birrong, Canterbury and Revesby. Mayor Khal Asfour said it was great to see so many families enjoying the festivities – “the live music and the carnival rides at Belmore Oval were a hit and there were plenty of families enjoying the warm weather and water activities at our pool parties.”
