They have also just completed a sculpture for Rookwood’s Hidden exhibition in August and are hosting a charity fundraiser this Friday at WestWords.
First meeting at a Makers Circle workshop at Auburn’s Peacock Gallery in early 2020, the women comprise chairperson Michaela Simoni, Jan Irwin, Shirley Jenkins, Marina Robins, Seher Aydinlik, Lesley Richman, Bronwyn Ruwaydah Mah, Jabeen Rhodes, Trish Jean and Michelle Tran.
Michaela said they were thrilled with how the Heritage House exhibition is being received since opening on April 7 and on offer for the next six weeks.
“It comprises a collection of our special paintings, all done in various styles,” she said.
“We’ve also been busy creating our sculpture together for Rookwood’s Hidden exhibition, it is really something and we are so happy to be sharing the spotlight with so many talented artists.”
Called ‘Parramatta Peace Train’, CAT is hosting a musical fundraiser this Friday, April 22, from 12.30-1.30pm, at WestWords in Parramatta where audiences will be entertained by the Duck River Band and Newington Choir.
Donations collected on the day will go to support the Ukraine crisis.
“Let’s get all aboard to support a very worthy cause; all the community is invited to come along and enjoy a wonderful concert.”
