Campsie group spices up contest

A GROUP of Campsie performers will take on Sydney’s best dance groups when they compete in the Dance of Champions at the annual Sydney Eisteddfod.

The Mexican Dance Group of Australia will be dancing on Sunday, from 5pm, at The Concourse Concert Hall in Chatswood, and with one of the $4,000 prizes being a People’s Choice Award it’s not to late to go along and support them.
IThe Dance of Champions, taking place for the seventh time, recognises the best dance groups in the land, with 16 finalists performing in front of a live audience and adjudicators, and dance professionals Danielle Evrat and Ryan Sheppard.
Dance of Champions finalists are competing for two awards, both worth $4,000. One is the Jury Vote Winner (selected by the adjudicators) and the other is the People’s Choice Winner (voted for by the audience). The afternoon also includes Guest Performances by Ev & Bow Youth Company, and Burns Bay Dance Studio’s Special Olympics. Some tickets are still available, book here. For those who can’t be there in person, the event is available via Australian Digital Concert Hall.
