The Burgess Legal chief strongly believes that a successful business person should give back to the community, a philosophy which has seen him serve on many community organisations.
“My business philosophy has always been to achieve the best possible outcome for clients at minimal cost,” he said.
“I believe empathy, trust and transparency are the hallmark of a successful legal practice and I am very humbled to accept this outstanding award and wish to acknowledge all members of the Burgess Legal team for their individual efforts everyday.”
Echo Boards & Products owner Eli Moujally was thrilled to win the Specialised Business category for the second year in a row but was completely shocked when his firm was also named ‘Business of the Year’.
“It was a nice surprise,” he said.
“We offer great service, the customer is king and our products are second to none so I’m sure that all contributed to our win.
“It’s very exciting and I want to thank all of our supporters.”
Winner of the Fruit & Vegetable Shop category, Nature’s Best Belfield’s Rocco Strait, must also be doing something right as his business has won the award every year, except for last year, since it opened in 2013.
“I have committed staff and high quality produce including a lot of specialty lines not available in the supermarkets or delicatessens,” he said.
“If a customer requires something, all they have to do it ask and I am more than happy to source it for them.
“Winning again feels great; it’s so nice to get recognition for your hard work.”
