Bus shelter needed for elderly, young

INDEPENDENT candidate for East Hills, Chris Brogan has called for urgent action to better protect the Georges Hall community who are forced to stand in the pouring rain or sweltering sun for the lack of a bus shelter.

He said it was a disgrace that the most vulnerable in the community, the elderly and school children, were the ones suffering.
Mr Brogan met with resident Neville Watson (pictured) to raise awareness of the need for a shelter and called for action.
“This is a result of the total failure of political leadership and an obsession with selling off community assets to the point where bus shelters are not provided by the council anymore but have been sold off to advertising companies,” he said.
