Last Tuesday, Campsie Police began an investigation after receiving reports a bus driver had allowed a member of the public to operate his vehicle with passengers on board.
Police were told the bus driver allegedly allowed a 16-year-old boy to operate his vehicle on multiple occasions between Thursday, March 10 and Sunday, March 27.
A 25-year-old man from Menai was charged with negligently move/drive vehicle subject person to risk (three counts) and employ unlicensed diving (three counts).
He was given conditional bail to reappear on Thursday, April 28.
Seek witness in crash with motorbike, vehicle
POLICE are investigating a crash which left a motorcycle rider seriously injured in Kingsgrove last Friday night.
About 6.50pm, emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Kingsway and Maluka Place, Kingsgrove.
Paramedics treated the 56-year-old male rider at the scene before he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The 34-year-old male driver was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
