Bulldogs, League Club offering help through ‘One Community’ campaign

CANTERBURY Bankstown Bulldogs and Canterbury League Club have joined forces in their One Community Christmas Campaign to support families doing it tough in the lead up to Christmas and the New Year.

They are teaming up with a number of community partners to assist in the delivery of programs to provide: Culturally appropriate food hampers; Christmas toys for kids in hospital; feeding and providing shoes for the homeless; and additional emergency services.
The community partners include: Community Care Kitchen – Hampers4All (communitycarekitchen.org.au); Mother Maria of Paris Mission – toys for children in hospital plus warm meals and care packages (call Chris on 0451 936 868 or Jenny on 0417 100 700); Maronites on a Mission – food for the homeless (call 0468 448 777); and The Foot General – providing podiatry services and donating shoes to the homeless (call Dr Maher Said on 0497 228 483).
Bulldogs GM – Community, Fayssal Sari, said: “The Bulldogs and Canterbury League have listened to the needs of our community partners and believe we can play our part through helping to facilitate these services.”
These sentiments were shared by Bulldogs Community Ambassador Hazem El Masri: “It is wonderful to see such a diverse range of organisations roll their sleeves up to help those who are struggling.”
