Bulldog Junior Sosala’s scoring goals for nation

A STANDOUT Rugby Union and League player, Chester Hill High School Year 12 student Sosaia Kaufusi playing in the U18s Australian Barbarians side, has had a convincing win against Tonga.

Sosaia was selected in the side after his NSW U18s team won the national championship defeating Queensland in the grand final in which he scored two tries.
The Barbarians then took on the Australian Schoolboys team, leading most of the match before a narrow loss.
Chester Hill High’s School Sports Organiser and Sydney South West Boys Rugby Convenor Jason Doran said Sosaia now has his head deep inside the books while completing his HSC but would most likely look to focus after that on the Rugby League pre-season, being part of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs Junior Development Pathways Program.
Previously coaching him when he represented Sydney South West at the State Carnival, Mr Doran said sports would take Sosaia far.
“His goal is to play at a professional level but it will be interesting to see which code he pursues since he is so good at both,” he said.
“He will probably work part-time while pursuing his sports dream.
“Our school is not used to having a student who’s at that level of talent and skill and we are really stoked and behind him; hopefully these recent achievements will just keep coming for Sosaia.”
