Brush up way to say thank you to frontline workers

DRAWINGS and posters thanking frontline workers line the fence around Granville South Public School.

Principal Karen Macphail said Deputy Principal, Wellbeing, Natasha Zeremes, had organised students and teachers to create the artworks, adding that the pandemic had made everyone “stop and think of what is important”.
She said families at Granville South were extremely supportive during this year’s lockdown, with the majority of students kept home to learn remotely which then enabled teachers to work from home.
“It was during this time that frontline workers continued to go to work, often in stressful situations, to support all of us,” she said.
“We wanted to be able to show our gratitude to all frontline workers and one way to do this was through our artwork that surrounds our school.
“Without these people who put their duty to us first and foremost we would not be in a place where students can continue to come to school to learn.”
