Bridesmaid tale for fun night out

AFTER the excitement and sell-out success of ‘Things I Know to be True’, Castle Hill Players’ keeps the fun coming in 2021 with a bright and breezy comedy ‘Always A Bridesmaid’ starring Canterbury actor Leigh Scanlon.

Women have a way of sticking together in lifelong friendships – it’s in their DNA. These four gals met in school and made a promise to be at each others’ weddings. They’ve been true to their word – no matter how many times they have made that long walk.
Leigh plays ‘Charlie’, a vegetarian hippy who is brutally honest.
“We also have a hopeless romantic, a dry humoured, no nonsense judge and a flashy/trashy southern belle,” Leigh said.
“Bring in an over the top wedding planner and a tipsy young bride and you get a night of laughs.
“While the play is a comedy, it is also about the wonder and warmth of true friendship.
“The audience will identify with the good and bad aspects of long term mates.
“However ‘Always a Bridesmaid’ is essentially about love, it’s about the fashion and it’s all about having a fun night at the theatre again.”
Catch ‘Always a Bridesmaid’ from April 9 to May 1, with tickets $25 at paviliontheatre.org.au or call 9634 2929.
