On offer every Wednesday, 9am-12pm, at PCC’s onsite Coffee Haven, the Seniors Hub is an opportunity to connect with others and make new friends in a safe and friendly environment.
PCC’s Alison Dawes said they received great feedback from those attending.
“Attendees enjoyed a complimentary tea or coffee and mingled with each other as well as staff and volunteers,” she said.
“We were very happy with the turnout of about 20 since it was the hottest day in 12 months.
“Everyone was grateful for the opportunity to come along and socialise and hear about our other programs and services along with the official launch of the Seniors Hub at which the Minister for Multiculturalism and Seniors, Mark Coure, will be attending for a meet and greet.”
Anyone aged over 60 is welcome at the hub and its launch in Seniors Week which will take place on Wednesday, February 8, 9am-12pm.
