Bankstown Police had been called to Campbell Hill Road about 5.30pm, to investigate a two-car collision.
While taking details of the crash, a fight – which was unrelated to the collision – began nearby.
Further police were called to the scene and two people were arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station.
A 34-year-old man has been charged with assaulting police and affray and a 17-year-old was given a juvenile caution for affray and released.
Two youths, aged 16 and 17, were taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.
Police hope to speak with the teens once released.
Inquiries are continuing.
Arrest over assault, shooting
A MAN was arrested at a home in Punchbowl last Thursday over the alleged assault and shooting of a man in Belmore last month.
The 35-year-old was charged with being an accessory to discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the company of others and take/detain a person in company with intent to obtain advantage.
About 11pm on Wednesday, September 25, Campsie Police attended Canterbury Hospital after a man presented with facial injuries and a gunshot wound to his leg.
Initial investigations led officers to a shop on Belmore Road, Belmore, where a crime scene was established and subsequently examined by specialist forensic officers.
Woman using a stolen card
A WOMAN from Artarmon has been charged with eight counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception after allegedly using a stolen credit card at multiple locations between October 18-20.
Police alleged the 36-year-old used the card which was stolen from a vehicle at Rickard Road, Bankstown, in Revesby, Belmore, Homebush and Lidcombe.
Man had phones, drugs, cash
POLICE charged a 25-year-old male from West Hoxton with possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a prescribed restricted substance and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
It is alleged that on Monday, October 6, police stopped a 25-year-old male from West Hoxton on South Terrace, Bankstown and during a search, allegedly located mobile phones, an amount of green vegetable matter and cash.
Tossed drug bag over fence
A MAN who allegedly threw away a small clear plastic bag containing drugs when he was stopped by police, has been charged.
Police said that about 1.30am last Thursday, they had reason to stop and speak to a 30-year-old male from Chester Hill, during which time he allegedly threw the plastic bag over a nearby fence.
He was charged with possessing prohibited drugs.
