Boys ‘reap what they sow’

THE school motto, ‘You Will Reap What You Sow’ (Quae Seminaveris Metes), underpins the holistic educational experience on offer at St Gregory’s College Senior School in the Macarthur region.

Here, young men in Years 7-12, learn to ‘reap what they sow’ in social, academic, physical and spiritual domains.
The agricultural theme of the motto is apt, as agriculture has been a significant aspect of a well-rounded life offered at St Gregory’s College for more than 90 years.
Starting out as a ‘Farm School’ in 1926, St Gregory’s is now a contemporary College offering high-quality Catholic education and boarding facilities to students from all over the country.
“This is a community built on the Marist charism which has been passed on by many Brothers and lay teachers walking in the footsteps of Saint Marcellin Champagnat,” a spokesperson said.
Modern workshops and laboratory spaces have facilitated growth in practical subjects like Timber, Metals, Engineering and the Sciences, with Vocational Education and Training subjects also offered alongside traditional academic subjects.
St Greg’s students have options to take part in community service, after-school study, debating, cattle-showing and more along with many sporting opportunities.
“For day students and boarders alike, St Gregory’s College seeks to impart the skills and qualities necessary for young men to thrive, at school and beyond,” the spokesperson said.
