Bowser relief as excise cut

MOTORISTS are finally getting some relief at the bowser with the Federal Government slashing fuel excise as part of the Budget.

Federal MP for Banks, David Coleman, says the temporary cut to fuel prices means that residents will save 22 cents a litre every time they fill up their car for the next few months, with consumers already seeing results at the majority of service stations.
He says the Budget will help local residents meet the pressures of the upward cost of living and reinforces the Australian Government’s plan to continue to invest in the country’s future.
The Budget will also deliver tax relief, with a one-off payment of $250 to be made to eligible pensioners, welfare recipients, veterans and eligible concession card holders, to be paid automatically in April 2022, as well as increased funding for preschools to help “make childcare more affordable and accessible for parents and families and $300,000 for much needed upgrades for East Hills Park.
“This park sits on the Georges River and the playground equipment has been impacted by age and weather and this investment will refresh this location for the benefit of park users in East Hills and surrounding suburbs,” he said.
