The crowd also took part in sack races and a range of other activities including enjoying treats such as snow cones, fairy floss and a barbecue.
Birrong FC President Tyrone Wait said it was a much anticipated celebration at Jim Ring Reserve after the last few years’ events were cancelled over inclement weather and covid restrictions.
“The purpose of the day was to recognise the players and volunteers’ achievements of the season and have some fun at the same time,” he said.
“A big congratulation to all the award winners which included the Presidents Award going to Adel Wick, the Coaches and Managers Award was won by Rani Haddad, the Junior and Senior Clubman Awards went to Tristan Suttle and Luke Newbold and the Team Spirit Award was won by our U12/13s.”
