BIRRONG Sports Bowls Club has had a successful 2019 season with three of their four sides making the Zone 12 finals.
Unfortunately the Grade 7s were beaten in their round robin by two well performed teams but went down fighting.
Grade 6 won their semi-final against Picnic Point to reach the final only to go down in a nail biting finish to Mounties.
Birrong’s top Grade 3 were victorious winning the 2019 Zone Flag against St Johns Park 54-49.
It was an exciting finish with Birrong now off to the State Finals at South Tamworth in late July.
“Congratulations to all the Birrong players and the many supporters who helped the Club in their victory,” a club spokesperson said.
