Biggest Morning Tea raises $3,467

A HARD-WORKING team at Padstow Heights’ Beauty Point Retirement Resort served up morning tea to 90 visitors earlier this month and raised $3,467 for the NSW Cancer Council.

With their Biggest Morning Tea now an annual event, organiser Pam Pitkeathly says every donated dollar makes a difference.
“We could not have done it without our helpers, Ruth, Kathy and Lorraine (pictured right), and I was thrilled with the generous support from residents here and their guests; many indicated that they were cancer survivors also,” she said.
“With one in two Australians now diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, the rates are rising and we all want to change that and support the new discoveries in research and medicine being made.”
