HOSTING their 15th annual fundraiser in which over $100,000 has been raised to date for Cancer Council NSW, Good Morning Bangladesh Lakemba returns to Parry Park on Sunday, June 11.
Everyone’s invited to enjoy freshly cooked Paratha, Beef Curry, Vagi, Chat Patti, egg omelettes, chicken rolls, Shingara, Samusa, Dhal poori, mouthwatering Pitha and a variety of traditional Bangladeshi sweets, from 9.30am-12.30pm, plus for the children, there’s a jumping castle, face painting and more.
“We’ve been organising this program for the past 14 years in Lakemba, raising funds under the leadership of Farooq Hannan, our wonderful sponsor the Australian National Sports Club, community leaders and volunteers after it was initiated by the late and great Dr Abdul Haq,” a spokesperson said.
“This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.
“One day we will have a cure for cancer and we want to help make that day come sooner.”
