With fighters coming from Canterbury Bankstown, interstate and overseas, the main event is for the Australian vacant featherweight title, with Punchbowl’s Nestor Bolum taking on Queenslander Liam Pope.
Plenty of female action will feature too as Canterbury’s Mai Soliman takes on Queenslander Nicila Costello. Neutral Corner promoter Paul Nasari says there is controversy surrounding this bout, with women’s boxing generally two-minute rounds.
“But this bout is over six three-minute rounds; it could be history in the making as we had a lot of loopholes to jump through to make these three-minute rounds happen and it’s got to be a first,” he said.
Another female bout will see Sydney’s Kayla Iwikau fighting Queenslander Ali Jensen over four two-minute rounds.
Mirko Pizzi takes on Bangladesh Boxer Ismail Joynul for the Australasian Welterweight title over eight three-minute rounds.
Another fight to look out for on the card is the talented Travis Druce fighting Jordan Martin.
The show will be live-streamed on TV on ClubZone, with sponsors invited to get involved.
There will be a press conference at the Revesby Workers’ Club on Monday, June 26, from 7pm with all welcome and the weigh-in at The Mill Hotel on Thursday, June 29, from 6pm at The Mill Hotel.
