Best ready for a fight

BOXING fans are invited to cheer on Panania’s Wally Yagmour who makes his professional debut when ‘Fight Night’ returns to Bankstown Paceway next Saturday, December 11.

He takes on Penrith boxer Wade Hatch and a big crowd is expected to turn up just to watch the local boy’s bout in the early evening, according to promoter Neutral Corner’s Paul Nasari.
“Amateur boxing will start at 1pm and then professional boxing will kick off at 5pm; it’s a great fight card with four title fights up for grabs,” he said.
The main event is the Female Super Featherweight Australian title between Wollongong’s Tywarna Campbell and Newcastle’s Jessica Adams.
There will also be a cracking battle when Bondi’s Michael Pengue fights Canberra’s Jorge Kapeen for the WBC Australasia title over 10 rounds.
Next up is the NSW Super Middleweight title, with Bondi’s Steve Rados and Wollongong’s Shannen Manton fighting over eight rounds.
Fighters will weigh in the night before at The Mill Hotel at 6pm, with all welcome to enjoy the buzz.
“As this will be live-streamed across Australia (www.smithys.tv), it’s a great opportunity for sponsors to get their signage around the boxing ring and play promotions in between bouts when we go to a break,” Nasari said.
“The live-stream last time reached over 5,000 people across the country.”
Tickets, $70 for general entry for both shows, are on sale now including VIP tables of 10 with a three-course meal plus alcohol; it’s the ideal way to entertain family, friends and clients.
Tickets: Nasari on 0413 812 274.
