Dining Out

Best Italian home delivery, takeaway

DESCRIBED as the best authentic Italian cuisine in Australia by many experienced travellers, Pikkio Pizzeria Trattoria is keeping customers happy during restrictions on dining in.

With pick-up and home delivery options in full swing, owner and chef Daniel Mari is offering customers the chance to order his one-litre bottles of homemade pasta sauce.
There’s Arrabbiata (with chilli, parsley and garlic), Bolognese, Seafood, Napoletana and Boscaiola (ham and mushroom) to name a few.
Imagine how much easier that will make feeding a hungry family; just cook some pasta, add the beautiful sauce and then enjoy restaurant quality fare.
Daniel, who won a five-year place at Italy’s leading cooking school as a young man and then went on to run the hugely successful Ascoli Piceno in Rome, is also preparing takeaway family trays with delicious offerings such as spinach and ricotta cannelloni, lasagne and a range of Italian-style chicken meals.

Judged to have the best wood-fired pizza in Sydney in 2005, Daniel draws on his experience but is always coming up with great ideas to keep his menu fresh and exciting.
“The family packs which will come in sizes from two to six people, will also include chips and soft drink,” he says.
“You can still order from the in-house menu too.”
Choose from a delicious array of antipasti, a huge range of pizzas and pastas, and mains plus blackboard specials.

Along with a children’s menu, there is also an amazing range of sides, salads and desserts like tiramisu, panna cotta (coconut with pineapple and mint) and chocolate tart, with everything made in-house from scratch and using only fresh, high quality ingredients.
Fully licensed with local and imported craft beer available, Daniel says alcohol can be included in your order.
“We open daily at 5.30pm to take orders,” he added.
