Best falafel, juicy burgers and pizza

Bistro Tripoli, Auburn

AMONG the most tastiest Middle Eastern street foods found in the world, the humble falafel is once again in the spotlight after the opening three weeks ago of Bistro Tripoli in Auburn Central Shopping Centre.

Owner Sam Kanawati, who previously operated a popular eatery in Georges Hall, says locals have been telling him that his falafels – which he makes from scratch every day – are the best they’ve eaten.
High in micronutrients and a good source of fibre and protein, falafels can lower your risk of chronic disease thanks to Sam’s use of high quality herbs which also produce the bold, authentic flavours.
“I also offer the full range of Italian pizzas, from Meat Lovers and Supreme to Hot & Spicy and Margherita plus burgers, such as the Bistro Tripoli Special, Peri Peri beef or chicken and Kafta burgers,” he said.
For breakfast, you can indulge in a triple cheese pie, egg roll, labneh roll, Soguk and cheese, Zatar and cheese or meat and cheese plus more.
For lunch, there’s shawarma or chicken shawarma, Shish tawook wrap, chicken liver wrap, Kafta wrap, Sojuk wrap, Baba Ganoush, tabouli, fried Kibbeh, hot chips, lamb wrap or mixed plates.
You might prefer a lunch box with delicious combos available.
There’s a chicken or Kafta box with three skewers, garlic, tabouli, bread and chips for $20 or a lamb box for $24, a falafel box with six pieces, tabouli, hommus, Baba Ganoush and bread for $12, or a chicken schnitzel or grilled chicken box with chips, salad and drink for $14.50.
You can also pick up a calamari box or a fish cocktail box for $9, fish and chips for $9 or six chicken nuggets for $5.50.
Offering fantastic value and open from 7.30am-8pm seven days a week, Bistro Tripoli can also be found on UberEats and Doordash.
