Still regarded as the best Beatles tribute show 35 years after they formed, The Beatnix, are taking people back to Beatlemania on Saturday, October 21 at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club.
Founder Tony Dean who formed the group in Perth in 1980 eight months before John Lennon was fatally shot, said the recent release of a Beatles remastered DVD and now The Beatles being available on iTunes, had also fuelled interest in live performances of Beatles music.
“We also use all the original equipment that The Beatles actually had way back in the day,” he said.
“Come and join us in a magical event.”
The Beatnix play a string of Beatles favourites – from the early hits right through and including the last album.
In the early set, they wear the classic black and white Beatles gear and for the second half of the show, the legendary Sgt Peppers gear is featured.
You will believe you are transported back to the 1960s and it’s Beatlemania all over again – you’re allowed to scream, cry and sing along as you experience your heartfelt favourites live again, including I Saw Her Standing There, Twist and Shout, Here Comes the Sun, Hey Jude’, Help, Get Back and much more.
Book tickets ($30) at chprsl.com.au.
