BERALA Bears Under 8s got to run onto the field and put on a halftime show during Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs’ huge ‘Back to Belmore’ clash against the St George Dragons last month. Taking on St Christophers Panania in their ‘friendly’ game, the little Bears were thrilled with the opportunity, according to Berala Bears JRLC President Omar Sankari said. “They were at their very best, performing in front of thousands of NRL fans which gave them a proud boost,” he said. “They have played for a half-time NRL crowd before at ANZ Stadium but ‘Back to Belmore’ was a first.”
