Saying it’s got everything you could desire and as much as you can eat, owner and chef Faris says the buffet is affordable costing adults, $30, four to 12-year-olds, $15, and free for under fours.
Normally open from 6am daily (but from 2pm during Ramadan), many make Sawa Rbina their destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Able to seat 200, the menu includes a wonderful range of Mediterranean, Iraqi and Lebanese delicacies.
You will need a large appetite when you arrive early in the day since the authentic Middle Eastern breakfast is fit for a king and so good, that you won’t be able stop until every last bit is consumed.
Other popular items include pizza, burgers and mixed barbecue plates along with an enticing range of fresh juices, and Lebanese, Turkish or Iraqi coffees which are highly sought.
The menu also features fresh kaak, fatteh, tabouli, fattoush, meat sambousek, fried kibbeh, hot chips, beef and chicken mansaf, barbecued lamb and chicken, lamb and kafta skewers plus much more including ‘shisha’ on offer.
“The local community has been extremely supportive since we opened and seem to love our food,” Faris said.
“We’re also building up our reputation for functions since we have a fantastic banquet package for $35 a head which includes just about everything on the menu; it’s such great value.”
