Ria Pirrelli, part of the Bass Hill sibling trio Audio Vixen, along with brother Ross and sister Christine, has just released soul-stirring song ‘Wondering’ which is about past love.
“The song was written by my dad Jay Pirrelli,” she says.
“At the time, Christine, Ross and I were working on our album ‘The Colour of Sound’ and when I heard ‘Wondering’, I absolutely loved it.
“Dad’s written some great songs, two of which we’ve included on our album. In his younger years when he was living in the USA and working in the music industry full-time, he was signed to a music publishing company and a label.”
Ria said that as much as she loved ‘Wondering’, the style of arrangement that her Dad had in mind, wasn’t what they wanted for the album.
“So Ross came up with a more laid back, jazzy, Adele-style version which Christine recorded,” she said.
“Ross is brilliant in the studio and Christine has such a soulful voice. Once we had recorded our version, I promised Dad that I would record his version of the song too and this is it.”
Ria said that aside from music, she also has a background in visual design, filmmaking and editing and it was great to be able to put the story together with the couple who appear in the video: “These days, people want to watch music as well as hear it and I really hope people like it, leave their comments on our page and share it with their family and friends.”
