THE Bulldogs have bowed out of the Canterbury Cup going down to the Wentworthville Magpies 26-20 in a thriller at Leichhardt Oval.

But ‘Dogs wow in thrilling comeback in second half

The Magpies began strongly and pushed the score out to 20-nil but with minutes to go in the first half, Morgan Harper got the Dogs on the board and they looked ready for a fightback.
His converted try was followed by another three by the Dogs in the second half as last year’s premiers set their sights on another grand final appearance.
However, it wasn’t to be with the Magpies’ George Jennings pouncing on a loose ball minutes from full-time and crossing over under the posts.
