The ban follows a move by the Federal Government to introduce amendments to the News Media and Digital Platforms Mandatory Bargaining Code, which “would create a framework for parties to reach commercial agreements so that news media businesses are fairly remunerated for the content they generate”.
The ban is reprehensible, says Federal Opposition leader Anthony Albanese.
He has called on the Federal Government to “fix this today”.
