About 2.45pm on Tuesday, September 14, a 55-year-old man attended a drive-through Covid-19 testing clinic at Everley Road, Auburn, where he became involved in a verbal dispute with an 18-year-old man.
The older man was allegedly pulled from his vehicle, before being punched and kneed repeatedly by the younger man, who then drove from the clinic.
The injured man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including a fractured arm, and has been released.
Following a public appeal for information, an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged two days later.
He was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and negligent driving.
