Assault, robbery hunt

POLICE are appealing for information in relation to an assault and robbery at a Punchbowl massage centre earlier this year.

About 6.20pm on Sunday, February 17, Campsie Police were called to a massage centre at Punchbowl, following reports a man had been assaulted and robbed by a group of men.
The 36-year-old man sustained bruising and swelling to his face and upper body and suffered a dislocated and fractured finger.
As investigations continue, Campsie detectives have released this image (right) of three men, who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Struck pedestrian in coma
POLICE are investigating a crash in Bankstown that left a pedestrian with serious head injuries last Monday night.
Police called to Marion Street, near Egan Street, about 7.25pm (Monday, May 13), following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
On arrival they found a 38-year-old man unconscious on the roadway.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in an induced coma.
The 55-year-old male driver of a sedan was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine samples.
Investigations continue and anyone who witnessed the accident, is urged to contact police.
A WOMAN has been charged after she allegedly failed to stop at a breath testing site in Padstow and injured a policeman who was attempting to pull her over.

Woman tried to flee RBT drug testing

A WOMAN has been charged after she allegedly failed to stop at a breath testing site in Padstow and injured a policeman who was attempting to pull her over.
About 8.25pm last Thursday, Highway Patrol officers were performing RBT testing near Canterbury Road, Padstow. Police will allege a Ford Falcon, being driven by a 37-year-old woman, was approaching the site slowly. The vehicle stopped and began reversing away. The driver refused to get out of her vehicle and accelerated from police causing one officer to be dragged a short distance.
Police caught up with the vehicle after she became stuck in traffic at a nearby red light at the intersection of Canterbury Road and Gibson Avenue. She was then submitted to a roadside drug test that allegedly returned a positive reading for methamphetamine.
She was charged with using a weapon to avoid apprehension, driving in a manner dangerous, negligent driving, driving on footpath, and failing to stop. The officer suffered a grazing to his knee and hands.
