Arrested man, 61, who allegedly attacked with scissors, golf club

SCISSORS and a golf club were allegedly used by a 61-year-old man in Guildford in an attack on a 46-year-old.

Police will allege the men are known to one another and soon after they entered the unit about 7pm on Saturday, June 8, an argument allegedly developed.
The younger man was allegedly assaulted with a number of items including a pair of scissors and a golf club and prevented from leaving the premises before being able to flee the unit.
Police said the 46-year-old man flagged down a passing motorist who contacted emergency services. He was treated for his injuries before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A short time later, Cumberland Police arrested a 61-year-old man outside a residential housing complex along the same road, before he was taken to Granville Police Station and charged with aggravated sex assault – inflict actual bodily harm on victim and take etc person intend commit serious indictable offence.
