Arrest man sharing explicit video of girl

A PADSTOW Heights man has been charged, with police alleging he used a social media application to share an explicit video of a young girl who was known to him.

The 40-year-old man was arrested at his home on Monday by Sex Crimes Squad and Strike Force Trawler detectives who seized mobile phones, a laptop and USB, and adapter, and charged him with using a carriage service to transmit/publish/promote child abuse.
Strike Force Trawler is an ongoing investigation by Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices.
Strike Force detectives began the investigation after a referral from the Northern Territory Police.
