The man was arrested over the alleged attack on Woodville Road, Guildford, last week.
Police alleged two vehicles were stationary at a set of traffic lights when one of the drivers exited their vehicle and confronted the other driver. Following an argument, it’s alleged the 23-year-old kicked the driver’s side mirror of the 74-year-old’s vehicle before punching him.
He was charged with common assault and destroy/damage property.
