Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in Narwee on Monday morning.
About 4am, three men attended a service station on Penshurst Road, Narwee, with one allegedly covering his face with a balaclava and producing a knife before walking to the entrance. Another man entered the store, threatening the attendant with an axe. The men took cigarettes and cash before putting them into a backpack.
The men fled on foot with a third man who was waiting at the door. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.
Campsie Police are investigating.
The first man is described as Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, between 20 to 30 years old, 175-180cm tall, with a medium build and was wearing a dark hooded jumper, black track pants, white socks and black runners.
The second man is described as 170-175cm tall, in his 20s, with a slim build and was wearing a grey hoodie, black pants and black shoes.
The third is described as 170-175cm tall, in his 20s, with a medium build, wearing dark/faded navy-blue jumper with a red logo on the front, black pants and black shoes.
As investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Campsie police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
