Armed robbers take cash from pub safe

POLICE have released images of two men as they investigate an armed robbery at a hotel in Lakemba.

About 3.40am on Friday, November 22, 2019, two men armed with knives entered a hotel on Haldon Street and threatened two staff members before stealing a mobile phone and cash from a safe.
The men fled the scene on foot, travelling south down Quigg Street before getting into a dark-coloured SUV. No one was physically injured during the robbery.
Campsie Police established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers and Strike Force Dehlsen was formed to investigate the armed robbery.
Strike force detectives have released CCTV from the hotel showing two men they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, shorter than 185cm, with a moustache. At the time of the robbery, he was seen wearing gloves, a navy hooded jacket, dark pants and a black balaclava.
The second man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 185cm tall. At the time he was wearing gloves, an orange and black rugby league club hooded jumper, a black balaclava, black chino style pants and he was carrying a navy bag.
Inquiries are continuing.
