Granting worthy organisations and services a cash boost up to $10,000, the next round of the Cumberland ClubGrants has now opened with information sessions on offer throughout April.
These sessions will explain the funding priorities, how applications will be assessed and conditions for successful applicants.
A community development program funded by local clubs, ClubGrants is administered by Cumberland City Council.
The scheme enables registered clubs with gaming machine profits over $1 million, to apply for a tax rebate (of 1.85 per cent).
The tax rebate is then used to provide grants to not-for-profit community organisations for community projects.
Participating clubs in Cumberland include: Auburn Soccer Sports Club, Auburn Tennis Club, Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club, Granville Diggers, Guildford Leagues, Club Merrylands Bowling, Merrylands RSL and Wenty Leagues.
Dooleys Community Relations and Grants Co ordinator Emma Roach said the club was honoured to take part in the scheme.
“Community is at the heart of everything we do at Dooleys and we are privileged to have the opportunity to give back to the wonderful community who give to us.
“This year Dooleys is particularly keen to review community health and community welfare project applications due to the ongoing negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in our local community.”
Applications close at 4pm on Thursday, April 28.
Book for an info session on offer on April 5, 12, 19 or 21 by going to eventbrite.com.au.
