Appeal for witness over park stabbing

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an investigation into the death of Ghassan Long in Roselands earlier this year.

About 9.50pm on Thursday, February 23, emergency services were called to Leonard Reserve, Roselands, following reports of a brawl and found the 24-year-old man suffering stab wounds. He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Police charged a 21-year-old man with affray and concealing a serious indictable offence, a 20-year-old man with affray, conceal serious indictable offence and hindering an investigation and a 22-year-old man with affray, but are still searching for the driver of a white Toyota Corolla seen in the area at the time of the incident.
They have also appealed for witnesses who may have been in Gunyah Crescent, Myers Street or Leonard Reserve areas in Roselands between 9pm and 10.30pm on that day.
