THE final round of the NPL2 competition took APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC Women to Orange to take on the Western NSW Mariners FC.

With two Premierships up for grabs, the women didn’t disappoint, taking a clean sweep winning four from four of the matches played and celebrating premierships to First Grade and the 17s, in what was another historic day for our club.
First Grade needed at least a draw to clinch the premiership but did far more.
There were six goals in this match, one to Georgia Bridges, and one to Jen Bennett. But it was Ash Palombi’s day again, who finished with four goals and in so doing, took out the Golden boot for 2019, a fantastic achievement for her and the club.
The Reserves didn’t play due to a bye and finished the regular season in second spot due to other results, just missing out on another premiership.
The 17s created history being the first 17s to win a premiership at Apia.
They too needed a positive result to clinch their first trophy and they did it in fine style.
They dominated the Mariners scoring seven goals to one with the highlight being Therese Bechara’s fantastic four goal haul.
